Position Title: Lead Graphic Designer
Reports to: Director of Communications
Status: Full-time, Support Staff (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Purpose and Goals:
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in shaping and executing the messaging and visual identity of the organization across print, digital, and social media platforms. This role blends big-picture creativity with
hands-on design, turning ideas into strategic messaging and impactful visuals that engage audiences across every platform.
Working closely with ministry and program leaders, this role translates goals and messaging into clear, compelling creative solutions. It also ensures brand consistency across all touchpoints, contributes to a
cohesive and engaging social media presence, and helps elevate the overall quality and effectiveness of visual communication.

The 5 Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Creative Direction & Concept Development
Lead visual direction for campaigns, events, and key initiatives
Translate messaging goals into clear, compelling design concepts
Ensure creative approaches are aligned across print, digital, and social channels
2. Design Execution & Production
Design high-quality assets including marketing collateral, social graphics, and signage
Prepare and deliver final files for print, web, and platform-specific use
Manage multiple design projects from concept through completion
3. Social Media Strategy & Execution
Develop and maintain a cohesive social media content strategy and calendar
Create and publish platform-specific visual content that drives engagement
Monitor performance metrics and adjust content to improve reach and effectiveness
4. Brand Stewardship
Apply and uphold brand standards across all visual communications
Ensure consistency in design, tone, and messaging across teams and platforms
Contribute to ongoing refinement of brand guidelines and assets
5. Project Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with ministry/program leaders to clarify needs and provide creative input
Coordinate timelines and priorities across multiple stakeholders
Provide feedback on design work from staff, contractors, or volunteers

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required
3–5 years of professional graphic design experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, campaigns, and multi-channel design work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
Experience developing and executing social media content and strategy
Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling tools
Experience in a nonprofit, church, or mission-driven organization preferred
Strong skills in typography, layout, and visual composition
