Ministry Residency
What Comes Next?
Our goal is to explore together whether the Ministry Residency is the right next step for both you and us. After each phase, we’ll pause to see if there’s mutual clarity and fit before moving forward.
1. Start the Conversation Form
This brief form gives us a quick snapshot of who you are and what’s stirring in your heart. It’s not a commitment. It's simply the first step to help us get to know you and your initial interest in the Ministry Residency.
2. Exploratory Conversation
A casual, get-to-know-you call where we’ll talk about your faith journey, your interest in ministry, and where you feel God might be leading you. We'll also share more about the Ministry Residency and give you space to ask any questions you have.
3. Theological Conversation
In this conversation, we’ll discuss your beliefs on topics like the Bible, baptism, and outreach. The goal is to understand how our beliefs and values align. It’s not a theology test, but a meaningful dialogue to see if we are a good theological fit. To take a look at our key beliefs, click here: https://www.lincolnberean.org/key-beliefs/
4. Panel Interview
This is the final step in the process. You'll meet with several members of the Ministry Residency team for a deeper conversation about your ministry and leadership experience and give you space to ask any final questions about the program. If you're local, we'll meet in person. If you're out of town, we'll connect over video.
A Note on Fit
After each step, we’ll reflect and pray about how things are going. We invite you to do the same. If at any point it becomes clear that the Ministry Residency is not the right fit (for you or for us), then we will communicate this and invite you to do the same. Our hope is that each phase brings greater clarity on what God is doing through this process.
