Job Purpose and Goals:
The position of Payroll and Benefits Specialist exists for the two-fold purpose of owning payroll and benefits as well as providing administrative support for the daily operations of the Business Office of Lincoln Berean Church. This role requires superb customer service, detail orientation, flexibility and collaboration.

- Benefits Administration
- Business Administration
- HR Operations
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Payroll
• Process Semi-monthly payroll
• Upload retirement contributions
• Reconcile benefit invoices against payroll
• Update compensation spreadsheet
• Create annual compensation letters
Benefits Administration
• Manage annual Benefits Open Enrollment Process for dental, vision, health, FSA
• Reconcile invoices against payroll
• Ensure insurance invoices are paid
• Make benefit changes for employees
• Manage HRA reimbursements
• Respond to employee questions regarding benefits
Business Administration
• Input journal entries
• Create Purchase Orders and Check Requests
• Assist with year-end tax filing
• Weekly attendance report
• Update weekly / monthly / annual data reporting
HR Operations
• Assist with the interview process, including phone screens, creating interview packets, scheduling, reference checks, etc.
• Create the onboarding schedule for new employees with direction from the Director of HR and Director of Business
Education, Skills and Background
Necessary:
• Has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• 2 years of experience in Payroll and Benefits Administration
• Proven experience with Microsoft Suite, and Teams
• Highly Organized
• Detail Oriented and an exceptional degree of accuracy
• Self-Starter – demonstrated capacity to anticipate needs before they arise; demonstrated capability in forming systems of administration
• Flexible – Able to easily switch between routine, weekly tasks and random ones

Must make Lincoln Berean Church their home church and participate in the life of the community (Life Group).
