Reports to: Leadership Team // Managing Director of Next Gen
Status: Full-Time, Ministry Staff (45 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, Sunday 8-12:30

Job Purpose and Goals:
To lead, develop, and implement a strategic college ministry that effectively reaches students, cultivates deep discipleship, and integrates them into the broader church community. This role will require a visionary leader who can shape a ministry that is missionally focused and relationally driven.
We are looking for someone who loves Jesus more than anything and is passionate about seeing college students take meaningful steps toward a whole-hearted commitment to following Him—learning from Jesus, living out His teachings, and actively participating in His mission on campus, in the church, and in the world.
The five key roles for this ‘seat’ are:
- College Ministry Strategy and Leadership
- Discipleship and Teaching
- Leadership Development and Volunteer Mobilization
- Ministry Integration and Churchwide Engagement
- Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
College Ministry Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute a campus engagement strategy that prioritizes evangelism and discipleship.
- Integrate the college ministry into Lincoln Berean Church’s larger discipleship and small group efforts.
- Foster a culture of leadership development, equipping student leaders and volunteers.
- Establish partnerships and creative gathering spaces near the university for accessibility.
- Oversee communication and branding to effectively connect with students.
Discipleship and Teaching
- Create intentional discipleship environments focused on mature faith conversations (relationships, cultural issues, mission engagement).
- Develop strategic gatherings that prioritize community and mentorship over entertainment-driven programming.
- Ensure that college students have access to strong spiritual formation tools and resources.
Leadership Development and Volunteer Mobilization
- Recruit, equip, and deploy student leaders to engage their peers effectively.
- Train and mentor volunteers, reducing reliance on paid staff for ministry sustainability.
- Partner with existing parachurch ministries while maintaining Lincoln Berean’s distinct vision.
Ministry Integration and Churchwide Engagement
- Align college ministry within Lincoln Berean’s multigenerational discipleship model.
- Facilitate student involvement in weekend services, life groups, and mission opportunities.
- Evaluate and refine ministry efforts based on long-term effectiveness and student growth.
Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable
- Provide strong leadership and effective management within College Ministry
- Conduct Quarterly Conversations and Annual Reviews for employees and hold accountable for completion of Rocks (goals)
- Nurture a healthy team environment
- Lead in the yearly budgeting and event forecasting processes
- Consistently model LBC staff Core Values
- Contribute as a member of the Next Gen Team

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in college or young adult ministry.
- Deep understanding of emerging college culture and ability to contextualize faith effectively.
- Strong leadership, relational, and strategic planning skills.
- Passionate commitment to discipleship and equipping leaders for long-term impact.

Must make Lincoln Berean Church their home church and participate in the life of the community (Life Group).

- A 30-60-90-day review by your supervisor based on your quarterly goals, the five roles of the ‘seat’, and the staff core values
