Job Purpose and Goals:
This position exists for the two-fold purpose of providing a high level of coordination of people and activities in support of Communications for Lincoln Berean Church and to extend the productivity of the team members. This role requires exceptional planning, follow through, financial acumen, and communication coordination knowledge, including the use of social media.
The five key roles for this ‘seat’ are:
- Project Intake
- Project Workflow
- Operation System Maintenance
- Executive Scheduling and Correspondence
- Staging and Specialty Work
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Intake
- Annual editorial calendar maintenance
- Communications requests intake
- Planning meeting facilitation
Project Workflow
- Weekly/monthly execution meetings
- Ensure alignment of priorities and timelines
- Continuing education of systems and skills
Operating System Maintenance
- Personal and event data administration
- Quarterly/annual project reporting
- Room and material reservations
Executive Scheduling and Correspondence
- Monthly/annual billing and budgeting
- Team activity oversight
- Team meeting facilitation
Staging and Specialty Work
- Coordinate special print and photo needs
- Assist with environmental design set-up/tear-down
- Vendor and team appreciation
Education, Skills and Background
- High School Diploma / Associate Degree
- Highly Organized and Detail Oriented
- Self-Starter – demonstrated capacity to anticipate needs
- Flexible – Able to easily switch between routine, weekly, and random assignments
- Tech Savvy – Experience with basic software (e.g. Microsoft Suite, Zoom, etc.) – comfortable learning how to make updates on the ministry’s webpage and church database system
- Christ Centered: you build your life and ministry around Jesus, with an open heart allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and inspire.
- Team Oriented: you love building a team, being able to work across teams and to partner with other ministries, using the skills and gifts of others to create a better final product.
- People Savvy: you relate well to all kinds of people and cultures – inside and outside the church as well as cross culturally; can build rapport, constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact.
- Self-Awareness: you know your personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and limits; seeks feedback; gains insights from mistakes; is open to criticism; is not defensive.
- Trustworthy: honest and considers confidentiality a priority.
Must make Lincoln Berean Church their home church and participate regularly in a Life Group
